“This Organization shall be known as Local Union 682 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, St. Petersburg, Florida. Local 682 shall have jurisdiction over all Utility work, as defined in Article XXVII, Section 4 of the IBEW Constitution, when performed by employees of the Florida Power Corporation in the Suncoast, Central and Northern Divisions, to include all Power Plants located in these divisions, except the Inglis Generating Plant, the Crystal River Generating Plant, Crystal River Nuclear Generating Plant and the Suwannee Generating Plant.”

An excerpt from the Local Union 682 Bylaws clearly indicates the representational scope of Local 682 and the democratically elected Officers of the local take those charges very seriously.

Though Florida Power was purchased and eventually became Progress Energy Florida, the same Union represents the Employees now as it did then, the I.B.E.W.
